TRANSMISSION
LOTUS ELITE & ECLAT - TRANSMISSIONFrom 1974-82 Lotus produced the 4-seat Type 75 & 83 Elite to replace the Elan. Configured as a small shooting brake, it was front engined and RWD. The fibreglass body was mounted to a chassis evolved form the Elan & Europa. It was the first Lotus car to use the 907 2.0 4 cylinder engine, previously used in the Jensen Healey. The Eclat Type 76 & 84 is a front drive coupe built from 1975 to 1982.
